{brown eyed cutie} cary baby photographer

Those big, brown eyes; those cheeks; that smile... this little girl can't help but be adorable. And if the sweet little smile doesn't give it away, I'll confirm that she has the sweetest disposition. You would never guess from the photos that an impending storm and nap were about to ensue.

Here are a few of many favorites from our session. Enjoy!

Grandma and Grandpa were there to entertain and get a few photos taken as well. What a great looking family!

{first time pros} morrisville baby photographer

I'll never forget the life changing day I brought my first little bundle of joy home from the hospital. I'll never forget the sleepless nights, the feedings, the diapers, and that overwhelming feeling that I had no idea what I was doing. I'm sure that this is probably the most common reaction of first time parents... all that I've known up until now.

My most recent session was with a set of first time parents who are truly naturals at parenting. They didn't seem the least bit phased by all the newness of parenthood. They are super patient, incredibly flexible, and have tons of love to give this sweet little boy. What baby could ask for anything more?

Enjoy these favorites!

{Vintage Baby} mebane baby photographer

There's just something about old, vintage photos that I love. I have tried to reproduce every photo that belonged to my parents, grandparents, and my husband's family that I can get my hands on. Some are just everyday photos taken 50+ years ago, while some hold this amazing quality of art frozen in time. I want to create photos like that each time I do a session, photos that will be held onto for generations to come, photos that someone's great-grandchild will ooh and ah over nearly a century later.

Well, all that came to mind as I started working on this latest session. When I started to process these photos I just had to add a little texture for that vintage feel. Little Hallie was so small and precious, I could just imagine how these would turn out when I was taking the photos. Enjoy!

My little Valentines

Though I have three little ones that melt my heart, it's becoming especially rare to get all three of them in a shot. Enjoy these shiny red apples and smiles! Happy Valentines Day!

Grayson

Meet Grayson, an eightneen month old cutie that I've had the privilege of photographing since she was in her mom's belly. She has the bluest eyes, biggest smile, and tons of love from her mom and dad. Enjoy some of my favorites from our shoot.

I just love this photo... it's one of those that sums up childhood. Blue jeans, red shoes and a green swing.

Thanks guys, for having me over once again. I just love watching this little girl grow up.

Family of four

When I first met this couple they where a family of two with their first baby on the way. This past weekend I was able to meet their newest addition- making them an official family of four. It’s so much fun to watch your friends’ families grow right along with yours. Enjoy some of my favorites of this beautiful family.

Home Sweet Home

Until recently, I don't think I've ever known anyone personally who has waited four long months to bring their babies home from the hospital. Our sweet friends Shawn & Elisabeth did just that. During that process they displayed amazing patience and faith in our God.

Their twin girls were born in April at only 25 weeks (for anyone out there who doesn't calculate gestation in their heads, that's about 6 months into the pregnancy). They weighed so little, have come so far, and yet from these photos you'd never know what they've overcome. I can't wait to see all the great things in store for these incredibly special little girls.

So, welcome home little girls! I'll introduce them by their nicknames given to them by their NICU nurses.

Sweet 'Clarabelle' (this is daddy's smile for sure
and adorable 'Elliebellie'

They already have secrets to share :-)

and what session would be complete without some out takes?

Check back for some wedding photos (and a romantic story) next week!
